SUNNYVALE — A big — and empty — office campus in Sunnyvale that has flopped into a default on its loan could be replaced by a large housing development whose approval could proceed through a “builder’s remedy” gambit.The housing development would consist of 315 residential units, Sunnyvale planning documents show.The lender for the delinquent financing, LoanCore Capital REIT, which provided a 2019 loan totaling $63.5 million, has proposed the housing development.Sares Regis Group of Northern California, a major residential developer, is working with the lender on the proposed development, according to documents on file with Sunnyvale city officials.Horizon office complex on Oakmead Parkway in Sunnyvale. LIVERMORE — A 44-year-old man has been charged with mayhem for allegedly slicing a family member’s ear most of the way off during a gathering last month, court records show.Raymond Diaz, of Livermore, was charged with a single count of mayhem. He remains jailed in lieu of $110,000 bail, court records show.Livermore police were called to a residence on the 1100 block of East Stanley Boulevard at around 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 for a report of a man bleeding profusely from his head. DALLAS (AP) — A man suspected of killing four people, including a 1-year-old boy, and injuring a 15-year-old girl in a shooting at a Dallas home fatally shot himself during a chase with law enforcement several hours later, authorities said Monday.Byron Carrillo, 21, fled the home after the shooting late Sunday afternoon and then stole a vehicle, authorities said.
