He was 60.The actor, best known for his work in “The Wire” and the “John Wick” movies, is believed to have died from natural causes, according to a police source who spoke with TMZ.The death comes as a shock, as Reddick was in the midst of a press tour for the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise.He had an interview scheduled for next week on Kelly Clarkson’s show.Before ‘Wick,’ Reddick was best known for his work on “The Wire,” playing police lieutenant Cedrick Daniels on the hit HBO series and appearing in all five seasons.Reddick was born and raised in Baltimore and was a graduate of University of Rochester and Yale University.©2023 New York Daily News. OAKLAND — No one was apparently injured in a shootout Friday morning in the city’s Cleveland Heights area, but some parked vehicles and a residence were hit by bullets, authorities said.The shooting happened about 9:13 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Spruce Street and MacArthur Boulevard, a usually quiet residential area.Police believe a gun battle happened between someone in a moving vehicle and someone standing outside.When police got to the scene they did not find anyone shot and no one showed up later at a hospital, authorities said. Numerous shell casings from two different firearms were recovered at the scene.Police said two parked vehicles were hit by gunfire, as was a residence in the area, but no injuries were reported.The shooting happened a few blocks from Oakland High School, but there was no lockdown at the school, officials said.A motive for the shooting was under investigation. The park remains closed today.The popular park, nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, was closed because of a series of damaging storms that have swept across the region in recent weeks.Since February 21, the park has seen more than 15 feet (4.6 meters) of snow at Tuolumne Meadows, higher than the average single story house. Warmer storms left behind 21 inches (53 centimeters) of rain.The winter storms damaged roads and facilities throughout much of the park, with almost two dozen documented rockslides and debris flows affecting roadways. Most of these have been cleaned up, the park said.The main roads are cleared, and snow has been plowed in the upper elevations. DUBLIN — Within a two-week period in early February, Santa Rita Jail saw a reported eight fentanyl overdoses — more than one every two days on average — including at least one fatality, authorities say.The staggering tally doesn’t include the suspected fatal drug overdose that killed 33-year-old Candice “Cody” Vanburen on Feb. 28. (KRON) -- An art teacher in Mountain View was arrested on Thursday after one of his students came forward to say he touched her inappropriately, police said. The art teacher was identified by the Mountain View Police Department as 55-year-old Oleg Tumasov, who operated a studio, Tumasov Fine Art Studio and Gallery, on the 800 block of West El Camino Real.
